Billion people first used the social network Facebook this past Monday, said Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of the company.
'We have reached an important milestone. For the first time, 1,000 million people used Facebook in a single day, "Zuckerberg said on its website on the social network.
"On Monday, one in seven people worldwide used Facebook to connect with family and friends," said Zuckerberg.
"Our community is in favor of giving voice to every person, to promote understanding and to include all the opportunities offered by the modern world," he stressed.
Facebook has a total of 1,500 million users who connect at least once a month. The company reached 1,000 million users in October 2012.
