The Atlas, created by Boston Dynamics, owned by Google, robot is learning to run and jump freely through the forest, according to a video released by the company.

Although it is an android that exceeds 182 centimeters and weighs almost 150 kilograms, running for the slopes of a natural forest it does not seem to find it a complicated task.

"We are concerned that this robot knows the real world, it's a totally different experience, it is impossible to predict their results. They happen all sorts of things, and we've got achievements when bringing mobility to that of humans, and if keep trying achieve this goal, "says Boston Dynamics founder Marc Raibert. "Today we focus on the dynamics and balance, studying how they move humans and animals, that is, to avoid falling quickly," he adds.

As reported by the engineers of the company, Atlas can not only track the movements of more skilled human, but can greatly improve in the near future. Before releasing it in the woods, the android was subjected to all kinds of walks through obstacles such as stones, while being hit with boxing gloves to train your balance.
