The new terminal has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB RAM and an internal memory of 16 GB with Micro SD cards up to 2 TB.

As usual on these occasions, rumors were ahead of reality. And much had been said in recent weeks on the launch of a new range of terminals of the Taiwanese firm HTC. At first it was believed that the new ONE A9 have their place in the top of the range. And in a way it is, although it seems that, this time, HTC aims to have presence in the midrange terminals with very high performance. In the words of Antonio Muñoz Tallón, product manager of HTC in Spain, it is "a complement to the M (M7, M8 and M9) range", which are the higher performance of the firm.

Offered in several continents at the same time, what seems clear is that the company wants to go all out. The new terminal mounts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, chip fresh from the oven and specially designed for this device class. The processor is supported by a 2 GB RAM and comes with an internal memory of 16 GB. Yes, expandable with Micro SD cards up to 2 TB.

Elegant and rounded edges design, ONE A 9 has an excellent appearance. In fact, the firm has focused on the design and finishes. It is entirely built in metal and glass. The metal is double treatment sandblasting and polishing to get the desired feel. The edges are polished metal.

As for the screen, this is a 5-inch Amoled panel Full HD protected by Gorilla Glass 4. And is that HTC has not yet decided to make the move to higher resolutions. Perhaps the reason is to optimize the consumption as a battery extra thin design (just 7 mm. In thickness) and a sleek look remains in the 2,150 mA, contingent, like the rest of the components, and rounded edges that inevitably reminds us of the iPhone in June.

The main camera features a 13 megapixel sensor and optical image stabilizer. The lens is protected by a sapphire crystal. The front, 4 ultrapíxeles, technology keeps larger and more capable of absorbing light used by the Asian firm in its first "smartphones" ONE series of pixels.

HTC has wanted to simplify the operation of the camera to a minimum, equipping it with a "software" very powerful that does it all automatically. Of course, it can be turned Pro mode in which the user can select and modify all parameters. The terminal can save images in RAW, and integrates possibilities as Hiperlapse, which condenses very long, accelerating them and stabilizing them videos. It can be done with any video recorded or after activating the option before recording.

The Zoe tool present in other models and automatically mounts videos from Photo Gallery, it blends perfectly with the Hiperlapse function, with really original and fun results.

The sound provided by Boom Sound is excellent, as in previous models. The terminal has two stereo speakers located on the bottom. The HiRes Audio system processes in 24-bit audio throughout the audio chain, thanks to which you can play quality content directly into the terminal.

With regard to the "software", the new HTC A9 is the first terminal including Marshmallow Android 6.0, the new version of the operating system of Google. HTC is working with Google to offer Google and the best of the best of HTC Sense software layer.

The terminal has a fingerprint reader and will be available in four different colors from 1 December. The official price will be established during the coming weeks, but will be around 600 euros.
