An Internet service that promises to help people keep their passwords secure hackers reportedly obtained from your network probably some user information, but not passwords.

Security experts say that is just another sign that any information on-line is susceptible to attack trafficking.

Last Pass, which produces a program that stores multiple passwords in encrypted form, said on Monday it had detected "suspicious activity" in its own computer system. That led to the discovery that were at risk email addresses, password reminders and coding elements of some users. The company said it blocked the attack and that his investigation found no evidence that they have violated individual passwords or user accounts.

The company based in Fairfax, Virginia, advised users to change their passwords Last Pass master, which are used to retrieve individual encrypted passwords for other on line services and user accounts; but said they do not need to change the individual passwords on all your accounts. The company is also taking steps to verify the accounts of users who enter the system from one device or router that have not used before.

"We are confident that our encryption measures are sufficient to protect the vast majority of users," CEO Joe Siegrist, who apologized for the inconvenience users to change their passwords said in a blog.

When users enter your Last Pass account, your program then automatically enters the appropriate password for each required service or website. Many security experts recommend using password managers, such as Last Pass and other similar services, because they have a difficult facilitate different password for each account violating the Internet, without having to remember each.

Several experts praised Last Pass for revealing the apparent trespass and said users should not be alarmed too. But they agree that users should change your master password and avoid clicking on links in emails to ensure Last Pass be.
